As an independent advisor working through the mutual fund dealership Professional Investments Inc., I offer clients access to a wide range of investment funds and life and health insurance. I strive to provide reliable, honest and economical service suited to the particular needs of each client.
My general approach is to recommend well-managed equity (stock) and balanced mutual funds that invest in high-quality companies. Most of them are what are referred to as ‘value’ funds. I prefer to deal with large fund companies that offer a wide range of funds and services. This allows clients both flexibility and convenience in terms of switching from one fund to another. I also try to place my insurance business when possible and economical with large, solid insurers in order to reduce risk to policyholders.
Fee-for-service financial planning is available to those who just want advice. Normally, clients who have investments with me are not charged these fees, and can obtain a basic financial plan or estate planning advice at no cost. Articles I have written on various subjects are available from me (some are featured on this site) or from the Canadian MoneySaver magazine.
Among the products and services that I offer are mutual funds, GICs, segregated funds, estate planning, individual and group RRSPs, RRIFs, Registered Education Savings plans (RESPs), term life insurance, Universal Life insurance, health and disability benefits insurance for individuals and businesses, and long-term care and critical illness insurance. There is no charge for an initial consultation.
